..and welcome to Gurmeeaed (transl. gourmet garden) — a seasonal food blog full of big flavours!

We are Eva and Jerome, a creative husband-wife (illustrator-photographer) duo homesteading on the scenic countryside of northern Estonia.

Our story began a little over a decade ago in foggy London town. Although there are brief chapters to this story taking place in Bristol and Helsinki, we’ve always known that city dweller life isn’t for us in the long run.
In the spring of 2020 we finally packed up our apartment on the outskirts of Helsinki and dived head-first into rural living.

We like to cook (and to eat obviously!), potter around the garden, read (cook)books, listen to records, sip tea and drink beer. We do not like doing dishes, weeding or sunbathing.

In the spare time we dream of chickens, quails, goats and beehives.

Gurmeeaed was born out of the desire to document the charm of seasons in the garden and gather all of our tried and tested old, as well as new, recipes inspired by homegrown veggies into one place.
